Scotland's third sector social media gathering returns on Thursday 7th April 2011 6-9pm at Big Lottery Scotland, Glasgow.

Rob Dyson (Whizz Kidz, The Guardian, Civil Society IT, CharityComms)  will join us for a presentation & discussion on communicating in a Big Society.

Marc Bowker (Quarriers) will be looking at how you can make your staff the core of your social media strategy - from frontline workers to your CEO.

Sara Thomas (MND Scotland) will be discussing how to develop a meaningful social media fundraising strategy.

Rob McAllen (Cumbernauld House Trust, Blackbaud Europe) joins us for a look at grassroots activism - taking on developers and local govt with zero budget, a team of volunteers and a Facebook page.

Update: Each round of tickets sold out in minutes but we'll be live streaming the full event and you can take part in a #begoodbesocial tweetchat on the night at

Be Good Be Social is for the beginner as much as the digital die-hard. We hope to bring together people interested in social media for social good, whether you work or volunteer for a non-profit, charity or social enterprise.

You'll get a chance to see how other Scottish third sector organisations are using tools such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube as well as blogging and podcasting platforms to bring about real change and raise funds.

Businesses, freelancers and public sector workers are also welcome, although paid tickets are limited.

Thanks to Blackbaud for sponsoring the event, The Big Lottery Scotland for providing the venue and Third Sector Lab for organising.
