The Kids Coach

The event is being run as a partnership between The Kids Coach and Remarkable Women – an initiative set up by Nokia. Naomi Richards is The Kids Coach. As a life coach for children she works with children on any behavioural and emotional issue that they have. She provides a space for them to talk confidentially about why they are unhappy and helps them resolve their problems in an interactive, creative and supportive way. She works with children on self-esteem, confidence, friendship, bullying, anxiety, parent separation, communication and any other home or school related problem. Naomi works face to face with children and runs workshops for both parents and children. She is an Agony Aunt for Bliss Magazine, speaks within corporate organisations on many child related issues and writes for parenting, teenage and women’s magazines. Her first book, ‘The Parents Toolkit’ was published in February 2012 by Random House.

Remarkable Women is a Community setup by Nokia to engage with women on a new level. Knowing that the technology industry can at times alienate women, choosing to focus too much on the tech rather than what it does for us they set about forming a grassroots network of successful, influential ladies who wanted something different from their smartphones. What Nokia is most proud of is that each lady is challenging conventions and breaking down barriers in their chosen fields, they’re pioneers and provide so much inspiration for others. The Remarkable Women community has had great successes with mentoring, talks and networking events to help empower others and in particular the next generation of girls. This is what we aim to bring to the ‘Be Remarkable’ conference. With the help of five members of our community we want to teach, empower and equip young girls with tools they can effectively apply to their lives to overcome any obstacles they may be facing, but in a fun and dynamic way. We know how important it is to nurture young people which is why we’re especially proud to be supporting this event.
