Event description

Description

Are you a self-employed or employed professional and in need of some effective strategies to get your life-work balance right?

Are you the worst boss you've ever had?

To be your best boss you want to have clarity of vision and be able to communicate that to yourself, colleagues and clients. You also want to have strong boundaries for yourself and others and communicate these with clear messages of “yes” and “no” that convey confidence, trust and integrity.

When you are client facing, it is important to be truly present: standing in your power and showing up with authenticity as well as being open and receptive to your client, building rapport and relationship through time.

This requires presence, an energy that commands confidence, trust and respect. Discover how to tap into your powerful presence for more effective client interactions as well as colleague collaboration.

Your conscious presence not only impacts at work. It also positively affects you socially as your confidence and authenticity shines with family, friends and acquaintances.

Join David Brown at The Signal Box, The Emerald, 82, Glenalmond Avenue, Cambridge, CB2 8DB on July 18th, 2019 from 7pm to 830pm for a highly practical, interactive and experiential workshop.

The themes we will be exploring:

  1. Confidence- authentic confidence from the heart is hard to fake. People feel it and it starts with you. How can you learn to believe in you and transmit that to those around you? Confidence is an embodied knowing from childhood. Tap into that and act from this place.

  2. Presence- what is your pattern of presence? Withdrawn or overbearing? Quiet or loud? Taking space or giving space? Pushing away or grasping? True presence is a middle ground where people feel seen and heard while sensing your confidence and authenticity.

  3. Boundaries- self-respect and respect for others. Creating boundaries around work and personal time sends a clear message about your availability and presence to you and those around you. The application of this principle is far reaching.

  4. Communication- enrolling and engaging. Clear and open verbal and body language helps build relationships and creates business. People buy from people. Strong, engaging energy engenders trust, one of your most powerful assets in ALL your relationships.

  5. Open for business and collaboration. Confidence and presence combine to give out a message that you are genuine, exciting and enjoyable to work with and to be trusted. This paves the way for more clients and effective business and social collaboration.

  6. Listening- presence is as much about listening to people as communicating with them. Some say that the single most powerful tool of leaders is listening. To hear what people want and need and have them be seen. To truly relate to people you have to listen..... and presence will give you that.

So, if you want to invest in managing your stress so that you can more effectively balance the many aspects of your life, come along to this introductory workshop on stress and life-work balance at The Signal Box, The Emerald, 82, Glenalmond Avenue, Cambridge, CB2 8DB on July 18th, 2019 from 7pm to 830pm.

David has a wealth of expereince of confidence, presence and standing in his power.
