What should I wear?

Please dress appropriately for the beach. For children we recommend puddlesuits/all-in-ones and wellies. Please prepare to get muddy/wet & sandy. It's recommended you bring a spare pair of clothes.

Are there toilets?

There are toilets on the car park, however they are owned by Danfo and require 40p to access. The toilet facilities take both cash and card payments.

Is there parking for the event?

Yes, parking is available at Fairhaven Road Car Park, FY8 1NW (separate from Fairhaven Lake). Parking is pay & display so please bring a payment method.

Is there a café nearby?

Yes, Beach Café Fylde is at the opposite end of the car park.

What if I've booked but I can no longer attend?

No problem! But please could you cancel your tickets via EventBrite so your tickets can be released for other people wanting to book on to the event. This is especially important for our sold out events. Thank you.

The weather forecast is bad, are you still going ahead with the event?

Generally, we go ahead with 90% of our events. If the weather forecast is so bad that there is a H&S risk, we will cancel your tickets via EventBrite - please check your email. We may also put updates on our Facebook page, so please check www.facebook.com/FyldeSandDunes.

Is this event suitable for wheelchair users or those with limited mobility?

The event doesn't involve extensive walking. Attendees should assess their mobility to determine if they can comfortably access the beach from the nearby car park. While traditional wheelchairs may not be suitable due to soft sand, Fylde Council offers beach wheelchair rentals for accessibility.

Do I need to bring my own bucket & spade?

If you have them - great! If not, don't worry! We have lots of donated/recycled buckets and spades that you can use during the event.
