Join artist Jane Stewart for the second Jaywick beach clean of the year and create a giant cyanotype sun print archive

About this event

Following the Beach clean at the Jaywick Martello Tower in April, this beach clean will look at the amount of waste accumulated over the summer.

Join artist and environmentalist, Jane Stewart on the beach, where all beach clean equipment will be provided, after the clean, we will take our finds to the tower to clean and sort, then will create a Giant sun print of the plastic items found (we might even make a sunprint of the participants, if you can keep still long enough)

The Details:

Wear appropriate clothing for the weather and beach according to the forecast.

Please feel free to bring your own food/packed lunch as there is no cafe or shop nearby.

Meeting point: Jaywick Martello Tower, The Promenade, Belsize Ave, Jaywick, Clacton-on-Sea CO15 2LF

Ample free parking at venue.

Essex Path to Prosperity in partnership with Jane Stewart introduces a series of 'Essex Coast Walks & Workshops' to promote the wonderful Essex coastline and its history. Throughout 2022 Essex Path to Prosperity will be running a set of varied workshops using art, painting, crafting and photography to explore and celebrate our wild, historical coastline with the community.

The workshops are FREE and can be booked on a first come first serve basis as we are limited to set places listed per course on Eventbrite.

We ask that participants follow government guidelines for outdoor activities in public.

This event is supported by Essex County Council through Essex Path to Prosperity and funded by the Coastal Communities Fund (Great British Coast).
