Welcome to the party!

Its a beach party and zouk, so lets make it as big as possible. Bring your best swimwear, sun creams, moves, bbqs, frisbees, and whatever else you want to make this a great party.

Why this specific beach?

Its far enough from civilisation that you don't hear the noise of cars or the city, its far enough from people so you have all the space to dance and to blast the music as loud as possible, its sandy, the low tide stretches for like 1/2 a mile and its dead flat which makes it easy to dance, whats not to like?! Freeeeedom :)

Its also been tried and tested.

Description

You can make a good fun day of it dancing, or you can chill amongst your fellow Zoukers, this event is ideal for those who want to escape the city life for a day.

Between the hours of 10am to 4pm we'll have a dance party as that's when the tide is low and when its ideal. If you want to dance then come early! I cannot stop the water coming in so when its high tide at 4pm, we'll have more of a chill social afternoon. I have 2 bose speakers which will blast music for at least 50 couples dancing so feel free to invite anyone or to come by yourself as you're sure to find a partner.

There is a toilet on this beach but there are no shower facilities.

There is no food anywhere close so bring plenty of food water. There is a Cafe but it may or may not work on the day so please keep this in mind.

I want to leave as much room as possible for people to bring their own ideas to the event as possible. Eventhough its a zouk event, feel free to make of it whatever you want. Heck bring a board game if you're into this, so rest assured its as general as you want it to be.

Recommended footwear: If you want to dance longer than 3 hours then I recommend flat-sole shoes which you are willing to get sandy. Otherwise, your feet will get sore after that time unless you regularly walk bear foot.

Location and how to find us

Park at the designated parking or the surrounding areas. I will share my live location for the first two hours, and post the GPS coordinates, but!.... If you cannot follow the instructions clearly, hopefully you can follow the music :)

Trains: You can arrive by train to "Littlehampton Rail Station". The walk is about 30 minutes thereafter.

Train tickets are £6 each way from London Victoria only.

Regarding the weather, cancellation, rescheduling of the event.

As we are extremely weather dependent the event will be automatically rescheduled if its cold or wet

1. If the daytime temperature is less than 22C, reschedule. Anything below its hard to keep warm with the sea breeze unless you're constantly moving.

2. If its raining or the likelihood of rain is more than 20%, reschedule. Unless the temperature is 40c or something and its raining, then it might be fine but no one likes rubbish weather on a beach day.

Regarding Organisation & House Rules

For the benefit of everyone, and for the enjoyment of everyone, we cannot be disrespectful to nature by dumping our rubbish, or obnoxious to everyone else because we're drunk or high. As already partly mentioned some things make a good party and some things don't, so the rules below are to be followed, its not up to your own interpretation or political views if you should follow them. If you don't like them don't attend, if you want to discuss them you are more than welcome to put ideas forward. I don't mind doing the dirty work and removing you regardless of who you are.

It's a FREE event, but this doesnt mean it won't cost you anything!

[DO NOT COME EMPTY HANDED] - Please bring things to share with everyone.

If you come empty handed you will be sent to the shop which is 30 minutes away. Contribution by everyone is an absolute must (and necessary). You must ensure you have these items and extra. This is not a shared list, everyone individually also needs to bring these.

1. 1x bin bag (or the bag you did the shopping with) to collect your rubbish

2. 2L of water [Per person]. There is no running water and it will be hot. 2L is an absolute minimum. 4L if you plan to stay 8 hours or more.

3. Sun lotion (not mandatory but definitely recommended).

4. 1-2 meals for yourself (and recommended to share). You will most likely get hungry, the nearest shop is not close at all!

House Rules:

1. This event is invite only. There will be absolutely no random gatecrashers, no matter if you know them or not. Sometimes random people may stroll, and they mostly have good vibes, but I will not have random people from the park or anyone attending the event who is not invited.

2. Collect your rubbish and own it. Every time there is this commotion about whos rubbish is where and whatnot, we aren't going to have this. Collect your rubbish in a bag and take it with you. If you don't you wont be invited again (and I honestly mean that). It is not up to the 5 people left at the end to collect rubbish for 50 people.

3. Music Rules. People want to play their own music and what they like, but this music is for everyone and it will be decided by everyone. So no hogging the playlist please, or i'll kindly move the post to someone who hasn't played music. Regarding volume, the volume may be decided by what we can play at the time so as not to disturb anyone.

4. Alcohol, drugs, weirdness, freedom, lack of alcohol, veganism, BBQ, salad, photos, memories, ... And whatever else missed, no rules: do what you want so long as it doesn't contradict the above.
