Welcome to the Beach of Dreams - Cleethorpes event! Get ready for a day filled with sun, sand, and good vibes at Brighton Street Slipway.

What is your dream for the future of our coastlines?

Our Beach of Dreams Journey takes us along the Humber Estuary from the open expenses of the salt-mashes and Humberston Fitties along the King Charles Coronation Coastal Footpath to the golden sands at Brighton Slipway on the Kingsway.

What if we cared about the sea?

Beach of Dreams believes in the power of collective imagination and creativity to shape a sustainable future for our coastlines and planet. Through partnering with Kinetica on this inspiration project will enable us to share our visions for the future of our coastlines through engaging with diverse stories, and to be inspired to make a difference.

Stories from our Coast

Coastal Walk – Narrated by – Harriot Tarlo – poetry readings to reminisce on our own stories from the Cleethorpes coastline. Join our walk at various locations from the Fitties Beach along the Coronation Coastal Path to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre. Tell your own stories along the way and think about your own climate pledge Finish your walk at Brighton Slipway to view Kinetica’s Art Installation of a sea of silk printed flags on our wonderful beach.

Heritage Talks

Cleethorpes Memory Cafe – a weekly drop in cafe event at LaCuna, 1 Kingsway, to share memories of Cleethorpes beach -Weekly from Thursday 8th May

Activities & Workshop

Climate Pledges: write your own climate pledge and share with others through our digital media.

Take part in a workshop to:

  • Write your own pledge with LaCuna
  • Create a silk batik flag of your own with LaCuna
  • Create a cyanotype sea print with The Culture House
  • Find out about our Oyster Heritage with Our Big Picture
  • Write a poem based on your memories of our beach with Harriot Tarlo
  • Join Sarah Palmer of The House with a Blue Door for a journalling workshop on the beach

The Inns on the Edge Project

Find out about the local inns and breweries on Cleethorpes Coast at the MIAB beer tent on Cleethorpes Promenade.

Join a tour of Willys Brewery and enjoy a pint of locally renowned beach side brewed Willys date to be confirmed


Social Media and Digital Content

Share your pledges through our photo booth at Brighton Slipway. Our digital photographers and film makers will be with us throughout our journey to record our stories and pledges through our own Beach of Dreams film

Yes, toilets are provided at the following locations: South Promenade (near Leisure Centre) Dolphin Gardens (next to The Queen Victoria Pub) Boating Lake Paddock

Can I bring my dog?

The Coastal Walk from The Fitties to Cleethorpes Leisure Centre is suitable for dogs (who must be on a lead for the duration of the event). Please clear up after your dog :) thankyou :) PLEASE NOTE DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE BEACH from The Leisure Centre to the North Promenade. £1,000 Fines

Is there any baby changing facilities?

LaCuna at 1 Kingsway (opposite Brighton Slipway has a room suitable for baby changing
