Founded in 2016, Laperruque develops artisanal, minimal and timeless leather goods with a focus on functionality and refined details. For the London Craft Week, Laperruque's founders will share the secrets of their high-end finishings with attendees: raw edge burnishing, traditional hand-stitching (also called Couture Sellier) and gold film hot-stamping. Each attendee will practice these techniques on an unfinished cardholder and bring back home a unique and luxurious personalised piece of craftsmanship.

Working in "Perruque" or "Perruquer" is an old French expression used in the workshops describing the work being made there, using the tools provided by the employer, but at the destination of the craftsman or its relatives. Taking inspiration from these unofficial creations, Laperruque products are all handmade in their workshop in Malmö, Sweden. They let the beauty of exceptional materials and of the craftsman's gestures speak for themselves. The leathers come from the best French suppliers, used by the most prestigious luxury houses and are chosen to age beautifully with a personalised patina over the time.

Robin Hureau is the co-founder of Laperruque and the head of the brand's workshop. He designs, prototypes and produces all Laperruque products in his workshop in Malmö Sweden. After a brief career in fashion retail, Robin followed his passion for leather goods and craftsmanship by studying along some of the best French leather goods makers, then moving to Sweden to launch Laperruque.
