The Seventh BEAR PGR Conference 2016

NOTE - The deadlines for abstracts and posters submissions have been extended:

Call for abstracts (extended): Wednesday, 30th November

Acceptance Confirmation: Friday, 2nd December

Abstract Deadline: Wednesday, 30th November

Poster submission deadline: Friday, 9th December



Each year the University of Birmingham Postgraduate Research Committee holds a conference to present
topics of interest to Postgraduate Researchers who use the Birmingham Environment for Academic
Research ( BEAR ).

This years BEAR PGR Conference is being held on the Wednesday 14th of December.

The conference provides an opportunity for postgraduate researchers and early career academics to
present posters and talks.

Past conferences include a range of speakers, from both academic and industrial backgrounds.
This conference is focused on computational analysis, numerical modelling, and high performance computing

It is open to all disciplines, including STEM, social sciences and humanities. It is intended to demonstrate
the power and varied use of High Performance Computing (HPC), and the facilities included in BEAR.

Posters will be assessed by a panel of judges, and feedback provided with prizes available to outstanding
entries.

This year’s conference will be held on Wednesday 14th December at the University of Birmingham.
