There are plans afoot to create an always open community space at the heart of Bearwood's high street with a flexible co-working space with childcare. A place for everyone to connect, create, rest, work and play. More here: https://www.bearwood.cc/where-when-how

What should it include? What changes should it help bring about in Bearwood? How should we design the space? Would you be part of decision making about what it should be? Would you help spread the word and make sure that as many people in our community are involved as would like to be?

Bearwood Community Hub CIC was set up as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company by Bearwood residents and it has received funding to develop the idea and business plan, do an architectural feasibility study and work on funding/investment applications to make it a reality. The team at St Mary’s church on Bearwood Road has agreed to work in partnership to see if the idea would be viable in their currently under-used community buildings.

The first community meetings to share the ideas and work out how to proceed are in October - choose from 1pm or 7.30pm on Wednesday 16th October. We may be able to provide childcare at the 1pm event if you need it, depending on space, so let us know. It’ll be two hours of interaction, meeting other great people, and finding out more. Come join us!

With thanks to our funders, the National Lottery Community Fund and Sandwell Council of Voluntary Organisations.
