Charity Auction for Signed Beastie Boys merchandise:
We are thrilled that the King Adrock himself, Adam Horovitz, has donated some items of Beastie Boys merchandise from his own collection to help us a raise funds for the Peace Sisters and Weston Park Cancer Charity.
Some of the items will only be available as prizes for attendees of the event but too help all Beastie Boys fans have a chance to participate in our Gala Event and have a chance to own some of these amazing items.
We are holding auctions for 3 of the items:
- Beastie Boys Hello Nasty Action Figure set, signed by Adrock - Starting price £500
- Beastie Boys Sure Shot Skate Board Deck, signed by Adrock - starting price £100
- Beastie Boys Book, signed by Adrock - no starting price.
Information for people not attending the event:
People not attending the event will need to buy a ticket via Eventbrite to participate in the auction(s).
Entry is by donation (suggested minimum £5) . 1 ticket allows entry to all 3 of the auctions. Full instructions will be given to ticket holders. This auction entry donations will go straight to the charities we’re supporting.
Participants will be contacted by email with instructions on how to place bids.
Bids will be submitted by via email and managed by a member of Sure Shot Beastie Boys Facebook group admin team who is not present at the event. If you are bidding from outside the event please note the following information:
- The items are located in the UK
- Bids from outside the UK are welcome, but the winner must agree to pay the full cost of postage, packaging and insurance to send the item to their country.
- Tracked services will be used.
- The items are bulky, heavy and valuable, so the cost is likely to be substantial – please do not bid unless you are prepared to pay that additional cost (we will only charge the actual costs not additional fees will be added).
- You are also responsible for paying any customs/import charges your country may impose.
- Bids must be made in pounds £/GBP – it is up to you to work out the conversion rate to your country’s currency.
- All times quoted are British Summer Time (BST)
The auction will take place in the UK and bids can be made throughout the day on Saturday 16th July from 2pm until it closes at 9pm. The winning bid will be announced at the event at approximately 10.30pm. It will be relayed by email to online participants as soon as possible afterwards
Information for all participants:
The auction will be based on a ‘two stage’ unseen bids process.
This means that approximately half way through the auction the highest bids on each item will be announced. People will then have an opportunity to submit additional/higher bids for the items if they choose to.
To avoid the chances of tied bids we strongly advise people not to bid in ‘round numbers’. For example, £101.23 is better than £100
Event organisers are eligible to participate in the auctions and any that do will play no part in the management of the auction once it has started, or any communication between the online auction manager and event auction manager (hey, we’re fans too!).
The auction will close at 9pm. Strictly no further bids will be allowed after this time.
The event manager and online manager will then establish who has the highest bid on each item.
In the event of a tie, the persons responsible for those bids (and only those) will have an opportunity submit a further sealed bid. If there are further ties, this process will repeat until a highest bidder is established.
Payment terms
Items will not be sent until the full payment has been received.
The organisers will endeavour to find the safest, most reasonably priced shipping option as soon as possible. Once a shipping quote has been given winning bidders will have 48 hours to pay for the item(s). Failure to pay will result in the bid being disqualified and the item will be offered to the next highest bidder.
Photos of the items are posted below.
Please contact the event organisers if you have any questions.
