10th September is World Suicide Prevention Day, an opportunity to raise awareness of the work being done to reduce suicide rates, increase knowledge and understanding, and to remember those lost to suicide. Who are PAPYRUS?

PAPYRUS is the UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people, with a 24 hour HOPELINE and delivering training within local communities(https://www.papyrus-uk.org/)

Who are Canitrail UK?

Canitrail UK organise a number of runs & are kindly supporting the event. Jon, Race Director, is ex military & a former dog handler completing a number of K9 Biathlons whilst in the services. He has participated for the past 13 years in many Ultra Marathons with his dogs (www.canitrailuk.co.uk)

What are the terms and conditions for Canitrail UK events?

Canitrail UK events cover a variety of terrain that includes hill, moor & mountain terrain. When you enter any of their events it is entirely at your own risk. Dog welfare is a priority! The full terms and conditions can be found here (https://www.canitrailuk.co.uk/terms-conditions)

Is there parking at the event?

Ogmore Valley Life Centre has limited parking (https://haloleisure.org.uk/centres/bridgend/ogmore-valley-life-centre), but be aware that part of the car park will be set up for the run finish line. There is ample roadside parking in the valley, but please be considerate. Ride sharing encouraged!

Is there a cut off time?

This is a charity trail run, with the emphasis being on finish lines not finish times. We do not have a cut off time for the event. However, it is important to understand that this is a 12km trail event with rough terrain, steep climbs, narrow trails and streams to navigate.

What if it is a warm day?

Dog wellbeing is our first priority, and if it is warm then all runners are encouraged to make their own risk assessment. There is ample water on the course, and as there is no cut off time participants can take part at a speed that is appropriate for them and their canine companions

What is the refund policy?

`As this is a charity event, with all money raised going to support the work of Papyrus, it is not possible to transfer to another event or get a refund. However, there is the option of transferring entry to another person, as long as you inform us at least 30 days prior to the event
