CALLING ALL CREATIVES, CHANGE-MAKERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS IN EAST LONDON'S MUSIC SCENE.

This is the third in a series of music networking events in 2025 hosted by True Cadence!!

Think of some of the most powerful songs you know. Chances are, they were built on collaboration - a feature verse, a producer’s touch, a cross-genre blend that created something bigger than the sum of its parts. The same is true for community music. When artists and organisations join forces, we can open doors, share resources, and create change that lasts.

Beats & Boroughs by True Cadence is a dynamic music network designed to connect and empower young people, artists, music leaders, and organisations using music for social impact. Rooted in East London, the network fosters collaboration, amplifies opportunities, and strengthens pathways into the music industry. Join the network!

Our next online meet-up is all about collaboration: how young artists, grassroots organisations and industry leaders can work together to make a bigger impact. Whether you’re looking to sharpen your craft, build your network, or form stronger partnerships, this space is for you.

Together we’ll explore questions like:

  • How can we collaborate to elevate community music in East London?
  • What makes an impactful partnership between artists, producers, songwriters and others in the creative spectrum?
  • How can we pool resources, apply for joint funding, and amplify our collective voice?
  • What can we learn from real-life examples of organisations co-managing spaces and co-designing programmes?

What to Expect:

  • Honest, practical discussions about what collaboration really looks like in music and community work
  • First-hand stories and tips from artists and organisations already making it happen
  • Space to network, share ideas, and spark new collaborations

Who It’s For:

  • Young artists and creatives ready to connect and grow
  • Grassroots music organisations and practitioners
  • Anyone passionate about building stronger, more inclusive music communities

Your Hosts:

  • Manny Loveankh - Founder, CEO and Creative Practitioner (True Cadence)
