Description

A chance to see the new petos marsh reserve, created in the heart of the Broads and hear about a practical approach to climate change.

9.30am: Arrive tea and coffee

10.00am: Walk out to look at the new petos marsh reserve recently created heart of the Suffolk/ Norfolk Broads before it opens properly to the public later this year. We will be hosted by the local reserve warden and the local broads ranger - 3 mile walk on level ground though will/may be muddy.

12.30pm: Lunch at the visitor centre (bring own packed lunch)

1.45pm: Climate change in the Broads Authority - A talk by the Harry Mach (Broads Authority Project Officer) discussing the practical approach by the Broads Authority and how it relates to the national park strategic approach.

15.00pm: Discussion and closing remarks

15.30pm: Departure

Tea and coffee will be available at the Centre, but please bring own packed lunch.
