The Start-up Weekender is designed to get you going FAST. It is about applying what you learn to your idea and business with the support of mentors and peers so you can begin your start-up.

Explore and validate revenue streams. Define revenue drivers to build financial model.

From creating a pitch deck to finding suitable investors, learn from entrepreneurs who have done it.

4. What we cover Lean Start-up

Learn and understand the lean methodology to build, test and iterate your business quickly.

5. Rapid Prototyping

Design and develop a prototype quickly to test assumptions and get user feedback.

6. Hiring a Team

Your business is only as good as the people in it. Learn where to find and retain great talent.

7. Product Development

Learn to define your value proposition and develop your MVP.

8. Getting Customers

Learn growth hacks and marketing tactics to take your product to marker and generate revenue.

9. Being a Founder

Starting a business can be tough. Learn about things you can do to make the process better for you.

1-2-1 Mentoring

The weekend will include a series of 1-2-1 mentoring sessions to discuss your business and challenges in detail.

Opportunities to meet and collaborate with successful entrepreneurs, like-minded hustlers, and potential collaborators.

This event is for anyone who has a business or idea and would like to receive some actionable insights on how to propel their business/idea forward and to collaborate with like-minded people.

TRAINER BIO

Nelson Sivalingam is a serial Entrepreneur and award-winning filmmaker. Previously founded video tech One Minute City, voted top 100 start-up in the UK and later licensed its technology to the largest reservation platform in Europe. In 2016, Nelson co-founded and currently is the CEO at HowNow, disrupting the way knowledge is captured, curated, organised and distributed. Backed by Fuel Ventures, Founders of HR Tech success Thomsons Benefits and Tennis Superstar Andy Murray, HowNow is used by companies, big and small, across 5 continents.

Nelson has been a speaker at Google Campus, an Ambassador for Start-Up Britain and a Guest Lecturer on Entrepreneurship. He has been recognised by Virgin Media Business as one of the top 30 young innovative founders in the country as well as one of the top Asian Stars in Tech by KPMG. He is a thought-leader on Start-Ups and Tech contributing to publications such The Guardian, The Telegraph and Startups.co.uk, and recently he was featured in Bloomberg's documentary on Entrepreneurial Mindset.
