About this event
Join new community choir Beckenham Acappella for a free taster session. We started in April this year and gave our first performance at the start of June! We're new, fresh and excited to be part of the Beckenham Community!
Join us for a free taster:
- sing a variety of songs creating all the harmonies with our glorious voices
- meet local people
- relax and unwind from your working day with something creative and good for your wellbeing
- work towards local performances and
- get to know your community.
Beckenham Acappella is a non-auditoned community choir in Beckenham, sister choir to successful Palace Acappella Choir which celebrated its 6th birthday in Crystal Palace this year. We value community, social time, fun through music and singing together, achieving something greater than the sum of our parts, and a supportive space for everyone to find their voice and build their skills and confidence!
Taster sessions include:
🎶a physical and vocal warm up - to let go of the working day, engage with the group, release some tension and get our voices buzzing!🎶learning a round or simple song all together then create some harmony and different layers of challenge by adding elements as we go🎶working on sections of songs in different styles in 3 or 4 part harmony🎶social time before and after to get to know the group and make friends
