About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Would your group like to learn more about becoming an effective Dementia Friendly Community?

This interactive 3 hour workshop focussing on becoming a Dementia Friendly Community will enable you to:

  • Having a better understanding of how to get started and who to involve
  • Understand the opportunities and challenges your group may face
  • Develop networks and become aware of examples of good practice

The Dementia Training team at Age Scotland have developed a new suite of workshops aimed at members of the Dementia Friendly Communities Network and community organisations/individuals wanting to learn more about how to become a Dementia Friendly Community. This is a network of Scottish dementia friendly communities sharing support, empowerment and inspiration with people living with dementia and unpaid carers, in their own community.

You are welcome to join these workshops as an individual or as a member of group/community organisation (even if you’re not yet a member of the Dementia Friendly Communities Network). To learn more about the work of the network, see Dementia Friendly Communities Network (ageuk.org.uk)

For the other workshops in this series, please see our Dementia Training calendar: Dementia training calendar (ageuk.org.uk)

This online workshop will take place using Zoom. We look forward to welcoming you to our event.
