Stress and anxiety management is the necessary skill during this period as well as life in general. Mindfulness is about being aware of the present moment. It's the kind and compassionate way of acceptance of own self and life experiences. This is one of the proven scientific techniques for stress reduction and mind management that helps to produce the right response to stress and achieve best results.

In this workshop, we will focus on mindfulness, emotions and some meditation techniques to help you cope during challenging situations and find a perfect balance.

Join us in finding that balance for the stressful situations in life.

This is a two-day workshop. You are recommended to attend on both days to gain the most from these sessions.

Day 1: Introduction to mindfulness: Basics

15 March, 09.30-12.00 hours

The workshop will cover the following aspects:

· What is mindfulness & yoga

· Benefits of mindfulness - evidence from scientific studies

· Basic Techniques and practice

· Mindful writing

· Affirmations and positive self-talk, emotional management

Day 2: Mindfulness with wider applications for resilience and emotional management

16 March, 09.30-12.00 hours

The workshop will cover the following aspects:

· Emotional management

· Reflections on Positive emotions

· Self-compassion, joy, gratitude, agility

· Visualisations for peak performance

· Tips for deepening meditation practices and being a regular meditator

All sessions will be run in Zoom and include a mixture of relaxation and guided meditation with additional exercises that may include affirmations, visualisations, Mindful writing, etc.

Please note these are student-led supportive sessions, not counselling or coaching sessions. We welcome suggestions for these sessions, especially if you have specific requirements.
