Event description

Description

Our primary RQT programme is a package of intense support designed to help your staff continue their journey to outstanding, and be happy, healthy and resilient members of staff. The programme ensures that staff can maintain a healthy work-life balance, network with colleagues, and enhance their classroom practice. Developed in response to requests from schools within the alliance and feedback from NQTs, the programme is delivered by experienced outstanding leaders and Strategic Leaders of Education (SLEs) from primary schools across the alliance. They will share their personal experience and help RQTs develop their toolkit for success through high impact, interactive training sessions. This programme offers a progressive development pathway with a continued focus on practical strategies, which can be used both inside and outside the classroom. A high-quality RQT programme helps to retain staff at a time when schools are facing huge recruitment challenges.

RQTs will be equipped to:

• Prioritise their workload and achieve a genuine work-life balance. This will include how to identify personal ‘stress points’, and how to deal with the challenges school life can present.

• Deploy classroom support to maximise pupil outcomes.

• Develop personalised learning for children, and embed high expectations for all in the classroom.

• Expand their professional skills in areas such as presentation, communication and dealing with conflict.

• Review pupil and personal work, to enhance achievement.

• Make use of the opportunities for learning outside of the classroom.

The programme provides a bespoke experience for delegates through:

• A pre-course task that helps delegates to establish individual targets and goals that they will be supported to achieve by our experts.

• Linking to current RQT priorities, appraisal objectives and school development aims.

• Supporting post-course development through enabling collaborative projects between schools/ clusters.

• Post-course support including practical resources, hints and sources of support that can be taken away.
