About this event
Becoming YOU Again After Cancer
A soul-nourishing workshop for women ready to reconnect with who they are now
You’ve survived. You’ve done the hard part. But now you’re left with quieter questions - the ones no one talks about.
- Who am I after all this?
- Where did she go?
- And how do I start trusting my body - and life - again?
What no one prepares you for is that 90% of people say the hardest part comes after treatment ends. When the appointments stop. When everyone else thinks it’s over. When you’re given the “all clear” - but inside, you feel anything but.
However I see this time as an opportunity for growth, for letting go of all the "shoulds" the you pre-diagnosis held on to. You've experienced the true fragility of life and now don't want to waste any time living a life that's not fulfilling.
This workshop is a gentle, honest space to support your emotional recovery. Open to women who have been through cancer of any form. (Men - if you are interested, please drop me a message as I'm happy to run a mixed gender one in the future hi@lauren-jane.com)
Led by Lauren - Stage 3 Bowel Cancer survivor, Soul Psychologist, Mother, and guide for women at life’s turning points - you’ll be held in a space that welcomes all of you: the grief, the rage, the gratitude, the numbness.
We’ll explore:
- Who you were before, and who you no longer need to be
- How your values may have evolved since your diagnosis
- How to overcome that heavy 'blurgh' feeling even though you are "all clear" and everyone assumes you should be jumping for joy
- Start to tap into the new self that’s emerging, with the help of astrology, Human Design and intuitive tools
- What aliveness feels like in your body today
- How to reclaim desire, softness and trust at your own pace
Expect a mix of soulful conversation, creative reflection, ritual, and moments of quiet beauty.
This isn’t about going back to how things were.
It’s about becoming someone even more real.
Come as you are. Leave a little more you.
Please join for the full 90 minutes if you can - if you drop out early you'll miss some of the key content.
A recording will be available, but of course it's better to join live so we can have a conversation.
I will also be sharing a link to a free Telegram support group open for a week after the session to support integration.
MY JOURNEY WITH CANCER
In 2022, at the age of 39, I was diagnosed with bowel cancer. It was a complete shock. I went through surgery and chemotherapy, and by early 2023 I was given the all clear.
But the emotional aftermath was the hardest part. The world expected me to bounce back - but inside, everything had changed. It cracked me open in ways I’m still uncovering.
This chapter deepened my work. It taught me how to be with grief, how to trust my body again, and how to live in a way that feels honest and alive.
Now, I walk beside other women who are finding their way after survival - because that’s when the real healing begins.
