Big Branch AGM meetings, Talks + Drinks + Networking.

This is the open General Meeting for all members of BECTU's London Production Division (LPD) that is held every year.

Book now to avoid disappointment. To discourage no-shows, all attendees are asked to pay the "booking fee" - this is only a deposit on your place and it is refundable.

All attendees will be given a full refund (a £10 note) upon arrival. Attendees will also be able to join on the day at a reduced rate (£7.50pcm).

  • Spencer MacDonald - Understanding the BECTU Agreements (Feature Film, TV Drama, Construction, FAA, etc)
  • Sara Putt - Agent - The Deal Hunter - negotiating fair rates, terms and conditions
  • Phil Rhodes - Launch of a BECTU consultation on terms & conditions / guidance for low-budget productions.
  • Tony Lennon - Freelance Tax and Employment - a 'need to know' session on freelance business issues
  • Jane Perry – Blocking Bullying Behaviours - a workshop on how to deal with bullying at work when it happens to you, when you witness it, or when it is reported to you.
  • Paul Evans – An introduction to 'sticking together' to change your industry - for a fair voice fir all workers in film & TV.

BECTU campaigns to improve your terms and conditions in three important ways:

  • Helping you to be a confident and resilient freelancer - able to negotiate good terms and protect yourself from exploitation and abuse at work
  • Campaigning to change industry norms on long-hours, bullying, and other issues that damage the quality of your working life
  • Negotiating strong agreements – negotiations that are led in a robust democratic way by people like you – workers in the film & TV industry
