Event description

Description

Bedford Fields Community Forest Garden is an open-access garden that provides valuable green space to the local communities of Woodhouse and Hyde Park. You are invited to attend their weekly 'Work Day', where you'll have the chance to learn about forest gardening and get involved in practical tasks whilst relaxing, socialising and having fun.

We will meet as a group at 11am at Leeds University Union's main entrance and will walk for around 15 minutes to the garden. You can also meet us at Bedford Fields directly at 11.15am. There will be regular breaks with hot drinks, and lunch will be provided. You can stay for as long or as little as you want to, and the session will finish at 4pm.

No previous gardening experience is necessary and all equipment is provided. Please remember to wear sturdy footwear and clothing suitable for outdoor work that may be muddy.

There are 20 spaces available. Please only book a space if you are sure you can attend. If your availability changes after you have booked, let us know as soon as possible by emailing globalcommunity@leeds.ac.uk

If you have any questions or access needs, please contact globalcommunity@leeds.ac.uk
