Event description

Description

Meaningful Education (ME) formed the Bedfordshire Dignity network in October 2016, creating a first of its kind within 3 counties after seeking permission and accreditation from the National Dignity Council. Meaningful Education are proud to bring dignity to the forefront of our minds and embedding dignity education and awareness across Bedfordshire, whilst creating a network of dignity champions!
We have also successfully created both an adult network and a junior network proudly putting Bedfordshire on the Dignity Map!

Our aim is to inspire, motivate and educate attendees, generating awareness and interest of the importance of preserving dignity in one’s self and within our community. The conference is not just a place to come and listen, it is a place where you can exchange ideas, discuss areas of collaboration, make new connections and the opportunity to become a nationally recognised dignity champion.

Registration and refreshments will commence at 10 am. The conference will start sharply at 10.30 am followed by the official opening of the event by The High Sheriff of Bedfordshire. The morning will consist of keynote presentations from Clare Copleston, the founder of the Bedfordshire Dignity Network, who will be talking about why she is passionate about bringing dignity to the forefront of our minds and her journey which led her to develop the network.

Adelina Toplica-Badivuku - a Director at Total family coaching and Ted X speaker will be talking about “Community Trauma”. Meaningful Education and Total Family Coaching are partnership organisations who have jointly developed and delivered overnight support services to families affected directly by the fire at the Grenfell Tower and the wider community.

We will also be joined by the following keynote speakers who will be presenting the following:
TBC (To Be Confirmed) - presenting community partnership working

Yusef Gojikian –

"We want Bedfordshire to be recognised as a place where everyone is treated with dignity and respect; creating a dignified community for an improved quality of life for all"
