About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

The Youth Rangers is a monthly programme for 12-17yr olds, which enables those taking part to explore various nature reserves, to learn new skills and make new friends.

For our October meet up we will be exploring Blows Downs in Dunstable. We will be helping our reserves team to cut back scrubby plants to help create more chalk grassland that makes this site one of special scientific interest! The many wildflowers living there and butterflies relying on them will benefit from this work.

Please be prepared for some uphill walking and light physical work. As usual drinks and snacks will be provided towards the end of this session and a chance to explore the site and enjoy the views over Dunstable and wider Bedfordshire.

If this is your first time with Youth Rangers please contact Matt on matt.sutcliffe@wildlifebcn.org for parental consent forms before booking.
