December Youth Rangers Meet-Up: Orchard Care & Festive Treats
Join us for our December session at Stockingstone Meadow in Luton, where we will be helping to care for the community orchard. Since it’s our last meet-up before Christmas, we’ll also enjoy some festive treats together!
Guided by staff from the Wildlife Trust, we will inspect the apple trees, do some light mulching and weeding, and undertake some pruning. Your work will help keep this orchard healthy, ensuring it produces plenty of fruit for local communities to enjoy in the years ahead.
What to expect:
- Light physical work (all tools and equipment provided)
- Drinks and snacks at the end of the session
- A chance to learn new skills, meet others, and make a difference outdoors
Meeting point: We will meet outside Wardown Museum & Cafe (LU2 7HA) for 10:00 and walk to Stockingstone Meadow (5 minute walk). We will finish the activity and walk back to the museum entrance for 12:30.
