About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us for a very special Bedtime at the River where we will meet Bat and Moth, finding out what they do at our bedtime.

We’ll be making shadow puppets and using them in our special yew tree puppet theatre, learning about bats and moths, experiencing music, story and song with sound artist Kate Cohen, meeting plants that can help us relax at bedtime, and making a sleepy time eye mask to keep.

This family adventure will end with a relaxing sound bath by Kate so you can float home to bed after all the fun.

Bedtime at the River encourages us to pay closer attention to some of the wide community of living creatures who share the River Tweed with us. Do we all go to sleep at the same time, or do we live by different rhythms? Can we learn to spot who comes out at night and get to know them as our friends?

Bring your own picnic to enjoy teatime and bedtime by the river.

Suitable for families, and adults happy to engage in child focussed creative exploration.

If you cannot attend please let us know so that we can reallocate your ticket.
