BedZED Public Tour
Join us for a guided tour of BedZED, the UK's first large-scale, mixed-use sustainable community. Located at BedZED, Hackbridge, Greater London, this event is a great opportunity to learn about eco-friendly living and sustainable urban design at this iconic development.
What to expect:
The one-hour tour includes a walk around the entire BedZED site and covers all aspects of the estate, with plenty of time to ask questions.
Please note:Size limit: to minimise disruption for BedZED residents we cannot offer tour groups of larger than 20 people.
Wheelchair accessibility: The site is wheelchair accessible.
Cancellation: In order for us to cover costs of running tours, please note that tours may be cancelled with at least one day's notice if we do not have sufficient numbers. A full refund will be issued.
Getting there: BedZED is easy to get to, with good bus, rail and tram links to Hackbridge and Mitcham Junction.
Pricing: £25 per person (£15 concessions - students, pensioners and those who are on benefits).

Frequently asked questions
Trains run regularly to Hackbridge (approx 10 min walk) and Mitcham Junction (approx 20 min walk) from London Victoria and London St Pancras. Trams run to Mitcham Junction from Wimbledon and Croydon. The 127 and 151 buses stop close by. Paid parking is available at Hackbridge Station.
There is no parking available on site at BedZED. Paid parking is available at Hackbridge station.
There are no public toilet facilities on site. Toilets are available at Hackbridge Station and Mitcham Junction Station during staffed hours. Toilets are locked and access must be requested from station staff. Toilets are also available at Lidl, opposite Hackbridge Station.
Hackbridge has a couple of places to eat in, several takeaways, two supermarkets, and a couple of local stores where snacks and drinks can be purchased. Carshalton (127 bus or a 2 minute train journey) has several nice cafes and pubs serving a good variety of food.
