Event description
Beekeeping Experience Day in Sussex

About this Event

This is an informative and relaxed day suitable for potential beekeepers and those who are interested in knowing more about this fascinating subject. There will be a maximum of 10 participants.

Please ensure that you read Extra Information and Terms & Conditions prior to booking.

The day will cover the fundamentals of keeping honeybees and will include time observing and handling the bees in our on-site apiary (weather permitting).

At the end of the day, participants will have an understanding of what is required to become a successful beekeeper in terms of time, equipment, location, investment, and commitment.

Following the course, should you wish to start your own apiary, some mentoring* will be offered and included in the price. We also recommend ongoing resources such as joining your local beekeeping association.

Lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be provided.

The venue is a small private estate located a mile from Sharpthorne village. Parking is available on site. Full details will be provided upon booking.

* Mentoring will consist of availability to answer questions for up to 6 months and inclusion in a WhatsApp group.
