Beekeeping Experience and Bee Urban 10th Anniversary Celebrations and Exhibition.
The Beekeeping Experience (Saturday only), will be an hour of learning about the art of beekeeping and what it entails. There will be a talk about honeybees with a briefing of what to expect at the hive and what is the purpose of the hive inspection. The participant will get to inspect and examine the brood area of the hive and check on the health of a honeybee colony.
Tickets are free with suggested minimum donation: £5 for individuals and £10 per family.
Saturday 11th October
Beekeeping Experience sessions and timings:
Doors Open: 10:00.
Session 1: 10.30 - 11.30.
Session 2: 12:00 - 13:00.
Session 3: 13:30 - 14:30.
*8yrs minimum age for Beekeeping Experience.
*Please arrive 15mins prior to your start time.
15:00: After your sessions you are more than welcome to return or stay at The Hive where we will have homemade pizza, refreshments and music.
20:00: Close.
Sunday 12th October
Free Family Day and Exhibition: 10 Years of Bee Urban’s Story and showcasing of our resident artist collections ‘Women Make Art, ‘Heart in Art’ and ‘Yarn Sorority’ at The Hive.
10:00: Doors Open.
10:30 - 11-30: Arts and Crafts - Orchard care and apple picking.
11:30 - 13:00: Pizza making and games.
13:00 - 16:00: Arts and Crafts - Children's nature workshop, Making Bees and Face Painting.
16:00: Close.
