FAQs

Are there ID requirements to enter the event?

Yes - please bring a valid ID (passport, ID card or driver's license) in order to gain entry to De Nederlandsche Bank.

Are there any security measures?

After you have presented a valid identity document you will be required to pass through a detection gate. Your personal belongings must be screened by an X-ray machine before you can take them onto the premises. Please allow some time for these security measures.

What are the directions and parking options?

>> Public transport

From Amsterdam CS or Amsterdam Amstel train stations

Any Metro train to the Weesperplein stop. Take the Amstel/Sarphatistraat exit and walk west along Sarphatistraat, crossing the bridge. At the traffic lights, turn left into Westeinde, where you will find the public entrance.
No. 4 tram to the Stadhouderskade stop.

>> Parking

The Nederlandsche Bank does not have parking space available. The nearest available (underground) carpark is the one at the Muziektheater. With some luck you may find a space along the water of Stadhouderskade (turn left at the end of Van Woustraat and enter the parking area on the right).

>> By car

- From Utrecht (A2)
Follow the signs to Amsterdam Centrum. Entering the city across Utrechtsebrug bridge, continue straight on through Rijnstraat and Van Woustraat to Westeinde.
- From Amersfoort (A1)
Take the Amsterdam Ring following the signs to Centrum (S103-S111), leaving at the Centrum (S110) exit. Entering the city across Utrechtsebrug bridge, continue straight on through Rijnstraat and Van Woustraat to Westeinde.
- From Haarlem (A9), Den Haag (The Hague)- Rotterdam (A4)
Take the Amsterdam Zuid Ring towards Amersfoort (S108-S115), and then the RAI, Rivierenbuurt (S109-S110) exit. Go past the RAI exhibition hall, following the signs to Centrum (S110) along President Kennedylaan. At the first major crossing (with Utrechtsebrug bridge on your right) go left into Rijnstraat and straight on into Van Woustraat and Westeinde.
- From Leeuwarden-Zaandam (A8)
Take the Amsterdam Ring towards Amsterdam, Amersfoort and Utrecht, and then the RAI, Rivierenbuurt (S109-S110) exit. Go past the RAI exhibition hall, following the signs to Centrum (S110) along President Kennedylaan.
