Description
Getting into that old Downton Abbey mood in November? Dress up to the nines!
How to choose a suit? How to pick the detachable collar, tie, spats, gloves, cane, fob watch and cufflinks to go with it? Why do you need at least nine hats at any given time? Mr Dupras has the answers.
This handling session and show-and-tell is preceded by Nick Dupras's talk on menswear in the 1930s (14:00-15:00).
In this handling sessions the participants can learn about the ins and outs of tailoring and being a well-dressed gentleman in the 1930s.
The workshop is free, but places are limited. Please make sure to cancel your booking if you can't make it to the session: gallery@leeds.ac.uk, (0113) 343 2778, or here on Eventbrite.
Make the whole day be about fashion!
The talk and workshop are organised in connection with the 'Sparky Saturdays: Dress to Impress' family event at the Marks & Spencer's Company Archive at 11-1pm and 1.30-3.30pm.
