The handstand is one of the most sought-after skills in gymnastics and bodyweight training. It is also the base for a lot of other floor skills. It demonstrates good levels of strength, flexibility and body control and is a pretty fun skill to train as well!
This workshop is perfect for complete beginners looking to get started on their handstand journey, and anyone who is still quite new to handstands working towards their freestanding handstand.
In this workshop we'll be covering:
- Prepping the body and mobility for handstands
- Correct alignment
- Controlling the entry
- How to safely bail out of a handstand
- Finding the balance point
- How to spot
- Strength and Endurance drills
- Handstand programming
Spaces will be limited to ensure each participant gets plenty of one on one coaching.

About the coach: Verity has been teaching handstands since 2014 and started training them in 2012. Over the years she's developed a deep knowledge of how to teach handstands to adults, a skill she believes anyone can achieve with the right coaching. She also trains and performs aerial hoop, and enjoys spinning fire.
