Beginner - Learn Machine knitting: Classes

This session will teach you the basics of how to start knitting on a single-bed domestic knitting machine. It will be delivered by Amy Chen, a textile designer-maker and educator (www.achentextiles.com/).

Amy Chen is a textile designer-maker and educator. Her work encompasses textiles and technology in different ways, from her work in e-textiles (interactive textiles that incorporate electronics) to knitting with a hacked vintage knitting machine.

Small teaching group (Maximum four people per session). You may share a knitting machine during the class, depending on attendance.

Yarns will be provided. You will learn:

Setting up the knitting machine
Casting on and off
Hems and trims
Shaping
