Description

In the Beginner’s Pole class you will now learn to master those all important spins, transitions and climbs to get you to work up a sweat and prepare you for what will be your newest addiction! You’re instructor will break down every step in great detail so that you can start increasing your body awareness and learn how and when to properly engage certain muscles. You will also learn to how to move smoothly around the pole and follow simple choreography linking moves together.

The class will begin with a with pole warm up incorporating conditioning exercises to develop strength and stamina also designed to build your muscles, tone, sculpt and challenge you in the best way. You will end your class with a full stretch and cool down.


What To Wear:

Please wear shorts, T-shirt or vest top. We advise you not to wear jewellery or use oils, lotions or moisturiser for at least 12 hours before the class.


Prerequisite:

You do not need any experience or to have had previous fitness or dance training to attend.

At Soul Pole you will get more Pole time than with other studios. Class sizes are small (maximum 6 students) so when the class is full you share your pole with only one other person - other studios can have 5-10 students sharing.

You can also have a Pole dance class for your Hens, birthdays or just-because parties. We also offer private 1-2-1 sessions (upon availability).

Are there minimum age requirements to enter the class?

Participants must be 18 years and over.


Are these classes suitable for men and women?

These are Women Only classes.


Do I need prior fitness training or upper body strength in order to participate?

No, many women have asked whether they need to have fitness training prior to attending classes, however this is not neccessary as our classes are suitable for complete beginners. Your instructor will help you to develop your upper body strength during classes.


Can I take pictures or film myself during class?

Yes, taking pictures and filming yourself is allowed, however please have consideration for other participants who may not wish to be photographed or filmed.


Would i be able to attend if i am more than 10 minutes late?

No, unfortunately we are unable to accept entries after this time as the warm up will be in progress.


What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the class?

The studio is situated in the Mirror Room of The Granville, it is only a short walk away from Queens Park Station (Bakerloo & Overground lines)
