Over the course of the day we’ll use ancient techniques to weave a round basket roughly 30cm diameter, 10-15cm tall using foraged and farmed materials (mostly willow). All tools and materials will be provided. This is a fun, relaxed introduction to weaving, with no prior experience necessary (but please be aware that manual dexterity is required – while it is still possible to weave with arthritis, it can be challenging).
These classes will be taught by Max, aka Seileach Basketry, who has been weaving for the past four years now. For Max, weaving is a meditative, satisfying task, and a perfect combination of beauty, functionality and connecting with nature.

This is a full day class starting at 10.00am with a break at 12.30pm then resuming from 1.30pm - 4pm.
Refunds are available up to a week in advance of class (minus EB booking fees). No refunds for no shows and last minute cancellations.
