Event description

Description

The science behind gardening is not only fascinating, but understanding it can also help us to support our plants in growing healthier and more productive.

In this session, we will explore the functions of different plant parts and how they relate to good gardening practices; look at what botanical names can tell us; and learn to identify different plant families and how that can help us as growers and foragers. Be prepared for a fair deal of mind-boggling plant geekery as well as hands-on plant examination.

Camila Barboza is a Grower and Community Gardener working on a number of projects across London, including Hackney Herbal and Urban Organic. She is endlessly fascinated by the world of plants and loves sharing this passion with others.

If you have any mobility requirements, please contact capitalgrowth@sustainweb.org before booking to discuss your particular needs.
