We will go over how to select the right hook and yarn combination, how to hold them, how to use tension rings and how to create a slip knot and chain stitch (ch).

Our experienced instructor will guide you through the fundamentals of crocheting, from choosing the right yarn to mastering basic stitches. A complete beginners kit will be provided, just bring your enthusiasm and creativity! Don't miss this opportunity to learn a new skill and meet fellow crochet enthusiasts.

Frequently asked questions

Is the parking?

Yes, there is parking at the venue as well as some additional on street parking which is all free of charge.

Is this an accessible event?

Yes! The venue has either flat or ramped entrances, accessible parking and an accessible toilet.

Do I need any prior experience?

No experience required, the instructor will guide you.

Do I need to bring my own yarn and hook?

A complete beginners kit will be provided to everyone that books on the first week. This is included in the cost of the course and is yours to take home and practice with between class sessions.

What is included in the crochet kit?

In your kit you will receive -10x crochet hook (2mm-6.5mm),12x mini balls of yarn in different colours, 1x plastic storage box, 6x darning needles, 30x Stitch markers, 4x pairs of toy eyes, 4x toy noses, 1x row counter, 1x crochet tension ring, 2x pompom maker, 1x tape measure and a nice fabric bag!

Can I bring my own materials?

You are welcome to bring along any materials you would like to use. You will still receive the beginners kit, unfortunately this cannot be deducted from the cost of the course if you do not wish to receive it.

Can I buy extra materials at the class?

Other than the beginners kit, there will be no additional items for same at the class. There will be opportunities to book further workshops where kits will be provided and support given to make a variety of crochet items.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, there is an accessible toilet that will be available exclusively for the class while in session.

How long is class?

Class starts at 10am, and lasts for about 2.5 hours. This is a structured but relaxed setting.

What time should I arrive?

Aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts to make sure you have time to make yourself comfortable.

Is there tea/coffee provided?

Yes, there will be tea and coffee available which you can help yourself to.

Can I bring snacks?

You are welcome to bring along any other drinks or snacks to the class.

Should I really bring my own mug?

Yes, we are unable to provide mugs/cups/glasses for the class. Please bring your own mug if you would like tea or coffee.

Can I bring a friend to watch but not participate?

Everyone that attends the class must have booked on and paid for their spot in the 3-week course in advance.

Can I book just one session instead of all three?

This is a 3-week class, however there may be upcoming one off sessions which you can book.

What if I need to cancel?

Due to the costs of running the class, there will be no refunds available if there is a cancelation.

What happens if I miss a week?

If you miss a week, you will still be able to attend any remaining class sessions you have booked and paid for. You will not be able to receive a refund or partial refund for any missed classes or time.
