Crochet is a great alternative and also complimentary technique to knitting. It is more freestyle than knitting, great for lacey designs, 3d shapes or use it to embelish and join your knitting,
Beginners Crochet Part 1 & 2 have been specifically developed to meet the needs of those wishing to take the first step into the world of crochet. These classes will not only introduce the participants to the fundamentals of crochet but also to practical advice on yarns, hooks and pattern reading.
Beginners Crochet Part 1 focusses on getting started and will include chain stitch, double stitch, introducing new yarn and casting off. Part 2 introduces working with colour and pattern including making granny squares!
Part 2 is aimed at participants who have some experience of crochet and would like to progress further. The teacher Ayda Anlagan will tailor the class according to your ability and interests. If you'd like to refresh you are welcome to attend the full day!

- Have refreshed on 'Beginners Crochet' (Part 1)
- Complete a treble stitch
- Understand how to combine the different stitches - single, double, treble and slip stitch to create texture and patterns
