About this event

This course involves learning how to cut out papers and fabric and then assemble them into hexagon “flowers” using traditional techniques. You can either use these to make a pin cushion on the day, or take them away and use them as the start of a larger project.

All materials will be provided.

Tea, coffee, soft drinks and homemade cake are included.

This is an all-day course, so you will need to either bring a packed lunch, or buy something from a local shop on the day.

Skill level: Beginner

This class involves hand stitching. Although you will be shown the relevant stitches, if required, you should be able to thread a needle and have at least minimal experience in hand sewing (for example, be able to sew a button on).

Terms and conditions:

Our workshops are open to individuals aged fourteen and upwards. However, a responsible adult must remain on site at all time with minors.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place.

Any further details, along with anything you need to bring with you, will be sent out via email in advance of the scheduled date.

All workshops will begin promptly at the scheduled time, so please ensure that you arrive early enough to get yourself settled in and have a coffee and cake before the class is due to start.

Cancellations:

For cancellations with more than two weeks’ notice, a refund will be given, less a 25% administration fee. Cancellations with less two weeks’ notice are non-refundable, unless we are able to fill your place.

All workshops will clearly be marked as being suitable for beginners, intermediate or advanced. When booking a workshop, you are responsible for assessing your own abilities. Happy Hare cannot be held responsible if you book the wrong level of workshop or do not read the description of the workshop correctly. A refund will not be given for booking a workshop which you later feel is not at the right level for you, unless the cancellation is made more than two weeks’ prior to the scheduled date.

Should we need to cancel a class due to circumstance beyond our control or limited numbers, a full refund will be given. Alternatively, you will be given the option to book onto another workshop.
