This is a course designed for first timers or beginners to learn , experiment and play with the handpan.

At this event we will look at the basics of exploring the handpan from the layout and chords to how to play the notes and create different patterns.

We will experiment with improvisation and playing together in a group as well as getting a feel of the instrument and learning a song .

We open with a drum circle to get acquainted with rhythm and timing.

The handpans will be provided they are in the key D Kurd thanks to Yatao Handpans they are also available to purchase.

We will have a 45-minute break halfway through the session to refresh the brain and reset.
