Beginner's Japanese Level 4 | Online | 10 Weeks

Starting in October 2025, this progressive 10-week course is designed for learners who have completed some basic Japanese and are ready to strengthen their skills. As the 4th and the last level in our beginner series, it introduces more complex sentence patterns with verbs and adjectives and provides ample opportunities for listening comprehension and real-world speaking practice, to bridge you to the elementary level course which starts in January 2026.

Taught by a highly experienced, native Japanese instructor who is also qualified to teach English (with CELTA qualification), you can learn the language in depth by contrasting and clarifying the grammatical and cultural differences between Japanese and English.

Set in a small online group (max. 6 learners), this course offers structured learning, cultural insights and personalised support (with 2 one-on-one feedback sessions per course). This course is for serious learners who want a real outcome.

- Writing practice: Hiragana, katakana & kanji (up to 10 kanji characters)

-Indicating means or method and mode of language

- Verb sentences: Giving & receiving, lending & borrowing, teaching & learning etc.

Japanese present perfect “I have already…”

- Adjectives: Types of adjectives (い & な)

Making adjective sentences and questions

Example Sentences

• おかあさんのたんじょうびにはなをあげました。"I gave flowers to my mum for her birthday."
• もうあさごはんをたべました。"I've already eaten breakfast."
• このレストランはやすいです。"This restaurant is inexpensive."
