Beginners Knitting Workshop - Central Croydon

Learn how to master simple knitting techniques with confidence! Our beginners workshop will show you how to get started, taking you through the basics of knitting. Our friendly and enthusiastic team will guide you through every step.

You will learn:

• how to cast on
• how to work a knit stitch
• how to work a purl stitch
• how to cast off.

At the Textile Repair Cafe, we keep our class sizes small so that there is plenty of time for you to ask questions or get some 1 to 1 guidance if necessary.

After the workshop, our hope is that you feel more confident to continue developing your new knitting skills and maybe embark on a simple project.

N.B: These workshops are for those aged 16 years and over only. Sorry, no accompanying children or babies.

WHAT TO BRING

All materials and equipment provided for the duration of the workshop.

However, if you want to take your project home and continue working on it, you are welcome to bring along your own yarn and the appropriate size knitting needles. We also have a limited amount of wool and knitting needles that can be purchased on the day. Speak to the team on the day for more details.
