About this event
Join us for a Beginner’s Knitting Workshop, where creativity meets sustainability in a relaxed and inspiring setting. Whether you’re picking up needles for the first time or looking to refresh your skills, this hands-on session will introduce you to the art of knitting while celebrating mindful making with natural, regenerative yarns.
What to Expect:
To ensure the best learning experience, our workshops are run in small groups, allowing everyone to receive personalised guidance and support. We provide everything you need for the session and to continue your project at home, including a printed pattern, natural yarn, knitting needles, and useful notes to support your learning.
As you practice, you’ll work on a small knitted project to take home, using exclusive nettle-based yarns from Wovenbeyond’s range, designed for sustainability and a luxurious hand feel. More than just a craft session, this workshop is an invitation to slow down, connect with like-minded makers, and experience the joy of creating something meaningful with your own hands.

About Wovenbeyond:
Our natural and fully traceable yarns are made with fibres that are grown through farming methods that operate in synergy with their surrounding ecosystems and actively engage in restoring nature. We value local resources, communities and heritage.
The Himalayan nettle and French Merino d’Arles wool range is unique: a work of love and experimentation that produced five different yarns that are not only visually stunning but also incredibly soft to the touch. The luxurious blend of nettle and wool makes the collection versatile for all seasons projects and will surprise you for its softness and sheen. The stitches definition is also exceptional. By using Wovenbeyond yarns you’re actively contributing to restore ecosystems and support local communities by valuing cutural heritage.

Please take a moment to review our cancellation policy before reserving your workshop spot:
Due to the limited size and frequency of our classes, we unfortunately had to make the tickets non-refundable. However, if we're able to transfer your ticket to a different date we will happily do so, just bear in mind that this could be challenging for the same reasons above. In the event that we need to cancel a class, we will make every effort to notify you well in advance and offer either a full refund or the option to reschedule to another suitable date.
GLORIA
Wovenbeyond’s founder
For over a decade, Gloria Mazzer has worked for global fashion brands like Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg.
Becoming increasingly frustrated by the apparent wastage of the fashion industry, lack of transparency in the long supply chains and a reliance on synthetic materials, she decided to dedicate herself to solving some of these challenges within the industry.
Her journey brought her to understand the deep, and underestimated, link between the food and fibre production industries, and is now a growing voice in the advocacy of regenerative farming, circularity and biomimicry. She works to empower farmers and promotes regenerative design to brands, bridging the gap between fashion and farming.
