Description

The ‘Beginners Yoga Next Level’ Course is a detailed 6 week program specially designed to continue on from the ‘Beginners Introduction To Yoga' Course, and suitable for those who are familiar with basic yoga postures & breathing and have had some previous yoga experience. An ideal ‘next step’ for those who would like to learn within a course structure to support you before/ whilst attending weekly Vinyasa based & Ashtanga yoga classes.

This set program will progress some of the postures featured in the Beginners Introduction To Yoga Course, and introduce other postures and pose groups along with Vinyasa style transitions. Will include some sun salutations variations, hip openers, backbends, standing balances and arm balancing postures.

The course grows steadily each week to work on improving your understanding of the practice by focusing on healthy alignment and establishing a deeper awareness of your breathing, increasing your knowledge and experience of different yoga techniques, and deepening awareness of your body so you can become more confident in how you are working in the regular classes. The course builds on developing stamina, increasing tone, strength & flexibility, improving focus and concentration and helping you to cultivate an ability to become calmer amongst challenges of busy daily lives.

The course takes place in a safe, relaxed & fun space and is perfect for those who have completed a beginners course or/ and regular practitioners of yoga, who would like to spend more time looking at poses and go deeper into the asana practice within a set group learning environment.

By furthering your knowledge & understanding, this program aims to create a solid & safe foundation so you feel confident, comfortable and inspired to attend any of the regular Vinyasa & Ashtanga Open Level classes & themed workshops.

Course includes handouts and follow up emails to support each session.

On completion of the course you will receive a 10% discount off your first 5 class pass or your first themed advance your practice workshops

EARLY BIRD if booked before 10th August 2017 Course cost £55 with a deposit of £25. The deposit will confirm your booking and is non refundable. The remainder of £35 can be paid on the first Thursday of the course at Merchants Quay.

Directions: If you are coming by car you need to take the Salts Mill Road either via Otley Road or Saltaire Road& Victoria St Shipley. From Salts Mill Road take a left on to Ashley lane. The Merchant Quay Building is a red brick building just set back off Ashley Lane after Rustons building. There's parking close to it. As usual we're using the back entrance - they'll be an A board on Ashley Lane directing you to this door. If coming by foot you can access Ashley Lane from Victoria St shipley or Victoria Road Saltaire. If from Saltaire you take the road that runs behind Salts Mill to Ashley Lane. This road however closes around 6:30pm so for this session that route will not be available. Hope this makes sense! if you have any issues finding please call me 07901866259. Regarding Yoga

Mats Equipment: If you have your own mat please feel free to bring that or you are very welcome to borrow one of the used one's along with the bricks/ belts. I am selling brand new hardwearing burgundy or purple yoga mats for £16 at class - they're really lovely and a great investment if you would like to purchase one for yourself. I would strongly recommend you have your own mat if you are wishing to build up a regular practice. Please let me know if you would like to order one so l can have them ready for you at the session.

Its recommended to practice yoga on an empty stomach and leave 2 hours between eating a heavy meal and the start of class. If you are hungry before class a light snack should be fine. Please bring some water with you and wear comfy clothes that you can stretch in - leggings/ loose pants/ shorts/ jogging bottoms & tshirt/ vest top are recommended.
