Beginners One-off Taster Session in Ceramic Sculpture (15th March, Evening)

A fantastic opportunity to sample ceramics in this free 3 hour session with an RCA graduate.
In this 3-hour class you will be introduced to the possibilities of working with clay. Through demonstrations and quick exercises you will learn the basics of handbuilding techniques; pinching, coiling and slab building, after which you will have the opportunity to play and apply these techniques to make your own own small ceramic sculpture.
All work being included in a pop up exhibition at LSW on Saturday 18th March ( 2-4 pm)
Materials are included in the cost of the session.
Please wear an apron or old clothes.
Please note you must be Aged 18+ to partake in this taster session.
Course Dates: Wednesday 15th March 2017
Course times: 6pm - 9pm
Cost: The course is free, but a £15 fully refundable deposit is required. This will be refunded after you have attended the course.

Tutor: Alex Simpson
Alex Simpson. Alex obtained her masters in Ceramics from the Royal College of Art. She works as a technician at the RCA and at a school. Her own practice uses fired and unfired clay to create sculptures and installations.
