Come and spend a relaxing couple of hours learning the traditional craft of punch needle rooted in 19th Century rug making. You will use a punch needle and chunky yarn to create a piece that can be mounted in a 4” hoop. Not only will you learn a new skill, you’ll also enjoy the wellbeing elements of this incredibly therapeutic and rhythmic craft. No experience is necessary as tutor Caroline will take you through each step of the process, from creating your design to threading the needle, punching your stitches and finishing a piece you’ll be proud to display. There’ll be plenty of patterns to choose from, including festive designs, or if you’re feeling inspired, come with your own ideas! All materials will be provided.
The workshops are taking place on the mezzanine floor (with lift access) of the beautiful Corn Hall Indoor Market in Cirencester as part of the fabulous Cotswold Wool Weekend!
