Beginner’s Self-Defence Workshop – 2-Hour Introduction
This engaging two-hour workshop is ideal for complete beginners who want to build confidence, enhance personal safety, and learn practical self-defence techniques in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you're looking to feel safer when out and about, become more aware of your surroundings, or simply try something new, this session provides a solid introduction to self-defence.
The workshop begins with a brief overview of the core principles of self-defence, including situational awareness, risk avoidance, and the importance of body language. Participants will then be guided through a series of straightforward, effective techniques to escape from common grabs and holds, focusing on leverage and movement rather than strength.
Led by an experienced instructor, the session emphasises real-life scenarios and practical responses. You’ll learn how to use your voice assertively, maintain safe distances, and react under pressure. No prior experience or fitness level is required—just wear comfortable clothing and bring a willingness to learn.
By the end of the session, participants will leave with increased confidence and a toolkit of basic defensive skills.
