Beginners Session - Whitburn Archers

At Whitburn Archers rather than asking you to commit to a course run on fixed dates we want to give you flexibility around your commitments

• Not sure archery is for you! You can pay for your first session before committing to the full course.
• Got a weekend away planned or tickets for an important football match! You can take a week off from the course and pick up where you left off the following week.

Complete any 6 sessions to get your beginners course completion certificate

All sessions 2:30pm - 4:30pm

We provide all the equipment, all you need to do is bring yourself!

You will be supported and guided by Archery GB qualified coaches and experiences archers.

During the session you will gain a basic understanding of shooting safely and the equipment used.

The course is open to both Adults & Juniors.

Adults - Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome, there is no upper age limit. No experience necessary.

Juniors (under 18 yrs) - While there is no lower age limit for juniors a full beginners course may not be suitable for children under 8 years old. Juniors that can follow all instructions are welcome on the full beginners sessions.

PLEASE NOTE: Juniors under 16 years old must be accompanied by a responsible Adult throughout the course, and please be aware that on completion of the course if Juniors do join the club they still must be accompanied by a responsible Adult at all time during shooting sessions.

Wheelchair users, visually impaired, hearing impaired and anyone with an individual level of physical ability is welcome. Please highlight if you need more support by selecting the option when buying the ticket and we will contact you to ensure we can support you.

Please wear a long sleeve top and tie long hair back.

Flat enclosed, comfortable shoes must be worn. There are no heels allowed in the sports hall at the venue.

We do advise removing any lip or nose piercing. 

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEO

Whitburn Archers may take photos or video recording during the beginners course.

The photos or video will be used to tell other people about what Whitburn Archers does (including our Facebook Page, posters, new releases and website).

They will be stored securely, and we will delete them after they are no longer needed for publicity purposes.
