A complete beginners guide to machine sewing.
This four week course is divided into two halves.
In the first half of the course you will learn how to thread a sewing machine, build confidence and learn the techniques needed to complete your frst sewing project. In the second half you will sew a lined tote bag with a zipped pocket from fabrics of your choice.
Week 1
Learn how to wind a bobbin, thread a sewing machine, sew basic seams - troubleshoot basic problems.
Week 2
Grow your confidence learning techniques needed to sew a zip or a button hole.
Learn about fabric choices and choose suitable fabric for your tote bag project
Week 3 & 4
Cut and complete a lined tote bag with a zipped pocket.
In the last week there will be time to ask questions and discuss what project you would like to do next.

This course is aimed at adults if you are looking for sewing for under 16's please call the shop to discuss.
Refunds are given on any cancellations made 7 days before the start of a course less the 10% booking fee. After that we can only give a refund if the place is resold.
