About this event

  • 4 hours 30 minutes

Come and learn traditional silversmithing skills in this ideal beginners class. Will you make a set of delicate stackers or a single chunky band? Try personalising with a wide range of stamps, add texture with hammers or use formers to create waves and zig zags. This class introduces a number of basic skills including soldering, and step by step guidance means you go home wearing your own beautiful rings.

Materials costs are payable on the day of the class and vary depending on number and size of rings being made, but as a rough guide allow approx £10 for a single heavy band.

I am a designer / silversmith based near the Bournemouth seaside in Westbourne, Dorset. In addition to making my own jewellery I teach a range of classes, from one day beginners workshops to terms of evening classes. As well as a degree in Silversmithing I have a PGCE in Post-16 education, and over 16 years teaching experience. I'm also very pleased to offer classes with Grainne Reynolds and Tony Sanders.
